Altrincham Christmas Markets

Yesterday saw another of Altrincham's Christmas Markets.
The mild weather brought crowds of people out to enjoy all that the market has to offer. There is a wide variety of  stalls offering a diverse selection of quality handcrafted goods, vintage items and delicious foods and drink.
To add to the buzz, three duos of very talented young musician entertained stall holders and customers alike, throughout the day.

Thom and Lucy
Blank Cheque
Dan and Alex
There is also entertainment for children, so a really great family day out.
Altrincham's Christmas Markets are ever Sunday until Christmas, with special Twilight Markets every Thursday evening until Christmas from 5-9pm.

Glass Weaving

For those of you who know me, you will know I am a confirmed technophobe!
I spend much of my time apologising for my lack of a decent web site to interested customers.
My son very kindly set up this blog for me a couple of years ago, before going off to uni-well you can see how well I got on with it when you look at the date of the last post!
He is at home this weekend and has patiently given me the idiots guide to blogging- so,watch this space!

My first woven dish!
Since my last post I have been very busy. I have invested in a new kiln which has allowed me to create larger, more interesting pieces. I have also moved into a studio, allowing me greater space in which to work.
I have recently been experimenting with glass weaving, and love the results.

Beech Road Summer Festival!

Come along and see me and my work tomorrow 3rd July on one of the market stalls at the annual Beech Road summer festival in Chorlton!

On display at my stall will be a selection of my fused glass pendants, a new range of stained glass ornaments based around magic lantern slides, and a range of other stained glass pieces including butterflies (always very popular!), glass grapes and glass cherries, ideal for presents or table decoration!

Make sure you come along and have a look! :-)
